Information on the Ten Commandments

For obeying the Ten Commandments, we are promised blessings, see Deut 11:20-27.
Verse 26, "Behold, I set before you a blessing, and a curse:"
Verse 27, "The blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your
God ..."

We are required to obey and display the Ten Commandments in our homes. Deut 6:9, "And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates..." Part of obeying the commandments is to display them so that we know what they are.

Requirement to Display Ten Commandments in public.

We are also commanded to put them in public places. The word "gates" of Deuteronomy 6:9 refers to public places.  For example, in Ruth 4:11, Boaz went to talk to the elders in the "Gates" to obtain permission to marry Ruth and obtain the rights to her land inheritance.  Other passages likewise demonstrate this as well,  I Kings 22:10, Ps 127:5, Deut 14:27-28, Deut 25:7-8, and Ps 24:7.  Our forefathers have obeyed the command to publicly post the Ten Commandments on our gates (public places), and have done so in over 4,000 public places across the United States alone, and many more in Europe.  No other verse or passage of scripture is displayed in public places (Courthouses, parks, city halls) like the Ten Commandments are. The Ten Commandments are the only passage of scripture that we are told to display in public.

Judge Moore is only one of 2800 of our leaders who have made permanent displays of the Ten Commandments in the U.S. Our forefathers have been doing this custom for centuries.  He is obviously the most prominent in recent history because he has refused to retreat from the pressure of the liberal politically correct, and he is one of the highest office holders to demonstrate courage under fire. We need to follow the example of our forefathers and Judge Moore, and obey and display the Ten Commandments.

Read the words of Deuteronomy 11:20-23 & 26-28

20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates.
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to clave unto him;
23 Then will the Lord drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall posses greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse.
27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, ...
28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments ...

Exodus 16:28
A
nd the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?

Exodus 20:6
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Exodus 24:12
And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

Now is the hour, are you standing for the Ten Commandments along with Judge Moore and others?

Deuteronomy 4:13
And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. Deuteronomy 4:12-14

Deuteronomy 7:11
Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.

Galatians 5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Genesis 26:5

Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Exodus 15:26
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

The Love of God and of neighbor is the summary of the law and prophets.

Mark 12:28-34
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

The understanding of love and of the commandments gives one great understanding: "Thou art not far from the kingdom of God."

Hebrews 12:28 "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:"
